Mansoor Ahmad is the Founder of Minara Ultrasound and an experienced specialist in medical ultrasound, with almost 20 years of practice in both the UK and internationally. He has spent most of his career working with children and families, and is known for his calm, gentle approach and his ability to make patients feel safe and supported.
Mansoor began his career at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, one of the leading paediatric centres in the UK. There, he gained extensive experience in a wide range of scans, including abdominal, hip, head, and vascular ultrasound. He also helped train other healthcare professionals, demonstrating his commitment to high standards of care.
He later served as Paediatric Ultrasound Supervisor at Sidra Medicine in Qatar, one of the world’s top women’s and children’s hospitals. Mansoor led a team of specialist sonographers and helped develop a high-quality ultrasound service focused on safety, accuracy, and patient comfort. His work included teaching, quality assurance, and supporting doctors and nurses in caring for children with complex medical needs.
In addition to his leadership work, Mansoor continues to support NHS hospitals across the UK as a trusted Locum Sonographer, helping to provide timely scans and reduce waiting lists for patients.
